Science Storytelling offers younger children (ages 8-10) to listen to and discuss stories with scientific themes. The sessions will run for about 30 minutes each and feature a number of stories, with a chance to discuss some of the scientific themes. With thanks to Jumeirah Primary School, for sharing their stories with us. On both the 27th and 28th February, four different storytelling sessions will run:
9:30 – Dinosaurs
Stories about when dinosaurs roamed the earth, how they lived and how science discovered them.
10:30 - Light, Weight and Gravity
How does light work? How do things fly? Why do some things float and some sink? The answers to questions like these are contained in stories which touch on the science of physics?
11:30 - Space
Come and listen to stories about the wonders of space. Rockets, the moon and aliens will all feature in these stories of intrepid space travel.
12:30 – Growing Up
The stories in this session will focus on how both animals and children grow. From babies and caterpillars to adults and butterflies, these stories will touch on some basic biology.
